Tốc độ hoạt động, chất lượng bản in ra, độ dễ khi sử dụng và chi phí vận hành thấp là những đặc điểm hấp dẫn ở thiết bị này đối với các công ty vừa và nhỏ.
LaserJet P2035 có tốc độ in lên đến 30 trang/1 phút, trung bình 2 giây/trang A4, và chỉ mất 8 giây để in ra trang đầu tiên. Đây là kết quả của việc nhà sản xuất HP đã tích hợp vào dòng máy này công nghệ in tức thì (Instant-on), một trong những kỹ thuật được người dùng văn phòng và gia đình đánh giá cao trên các máy in HP. Ngoài ra, sản phẩm còn sử dụng bộ xử lý với tốc độ lên đến 266 MHz và bộ nhớ dung lượng 16 MB.

Để phục vụ nhu cầu in ấn qua mạng phổ biến hiện nay, ngoài việc sử dụng cổng USB 2.0 tốc độ cao, HP LaserJet P2035 còn hỗ trợ mạng Ethernet/Fast Ethernet, cho phép kết nối máy in với nhiều máy tính trong văn phòng và hoạt động với mọi tác vụ in ấn trên mọi PC như nhau, giúp tiết kiệm đầu tư và chi phí vận hành.
LaserJet P2035 không hạn chế chất liệu giấy in cũng như các loại tài liệu khác nhau, từ phụ lục, hoá đơn cho đến ấn phẩm truyền thông, phong bì, nhãn hàng, thẻ kho, tài liệu dùng cho đèn chiếu…
Máy sử dụng công nghệ Resolution Enhancement (REt)của HP nên có thể cho ra bản in chất lượng như sản phẩm chuyên nghiệpvới độ phân giải lên đến 600 x 600 dpi, đồng thời tận dụng được tối đalượng mực trong ống. Dù máy báo đã hết mực, người dùng vẫn có thể in thêm vài ngày, thậm chí là vài tuần sau.
